The Type of analysis, Building location, Stage of
analysis and the Project Complexity can be specified in the Project Details
tab.
- Type of
analysis - Refers to the type of analysis that will be carried out
using SBEM, for example, Northern Ireland Building Regulations Part F 2012.
- Building
location - Used to select the nearest city to the project site from
the available locations in the Northern Ireland.
- Stage of
analysis - Specifies whether the building is
As designed (new building) or
As built (existing building).
- Project
complexity - Refers to the complexity of the building for the
purposes of energy assessments for EPCs.
-
Level 3 - Simple, existing buildings
that can be modelled using SBEM, for example, small buildings such as converted
houses or doctor's surgeries.
-
Level 4 - New and existing buildings
that can be modelled using SBEM , for example, small purpose-built office
buildings.
-
Level 5 - New and existing buildings
complex buildings that need to be modelled using Dynamic Simulation Models
(DSMs), for example, large office buildings or factories.
- Related
party disclosure - Used for any related party disclosures by the
Energy Assessor for the purposes of energy calculations for EPCs.
- Transaction
type - Used to select the Transaction type.

Unique Property Reference Number (UPRN) of the building. This parameter is
active only if the analysis is set to EPC generation. In England, Wales, and
Northern Ireland, this parameter consists of 12 digits while in Scotland, it
consists of 10 digits. It should not be left blank.
- RRN - The
Report Reference Number (RRN) of an EPC was previously done for the building in
England, Wales, or Northern Ireland. This parameter is active only if the
"Purpose of Analysis" parameter is set for generation of EPC in England, Wales,
or Northern Ireland, and the UPRN cannot be provided. It consists of 20 digits
in the form of five sets of numbers separated by hyphens, where each set is
comprised of 4 digits (the software will add an "RRN-" prefix).
- Inspection date
- The date on which the energy assessor inspected the building for the purposes
of energy calculations for EPCs.
- Building
Type - The choice of building type here sets the default building
type for the activity areas that will be defined later. It is possible to
change the building type for each of the activity areas when defined. Choose
the building type that most closely defines the majority of the building.
